As much as I love dressing casual, there’s nothing better than dressing it up in chic feminine pieces. My love for dresses dates back to when I was a little girl and my mom would dress my sister and I up in all sorts of dresses. Growing up I was a bit of a tomboy so I’d never think to wear a girly dress until around eighth grade is when I took a serious liking to fashion. I’d wear skirts and dresses almost daily!
Now as an adult I love nothing more than my favorite yoga pants and a baggy tee shirt. However, I still love to get dressed up and go out for date nights or just out on the town. I have a bit of an obsession with buying dresses especially when I get them for a good deal. Which brings me to how I got this dress. Last year I went shopping at Target right before Easter for some necessities, when I casually made my way to the clothing clearance section to see if I could find a dress for church and luckily I found one. Sadly it was a bit too long but for the great price that it was, I decided to get it and take it to my seamstress to get hemmed. I picked it up the day before Easter Sunday and it was too short, like way too short lol. So in a rush I went straight back to Target and found this dress for only $9. It fit perfectly and I got so many compliments on it.
I decided to pull this dress out from my closet and add some pretty details that would make this a perfect look for Valentines Day. I added my pink bag and white statement earrings to draw more detail to the fun floral print on my dress, while keeping my heels neutral for some balance.
Last night Isaac and I had date night and tried out a new place for dinner and then we went to see a movie called, The Favourite. It was a weird/interesting movie to say the least. However, the night was so much fun 🙂 I hope you all have a great weekend ♥
