How I Rang In The New Year

Happy Wednesday and Happy New Year Everyone! Yesterday was my anniversary with Isaac so we spent the day in Newport Beach shopping at Fashion Island. It was so fun getting to spend time with him and celebrate one year of being together 🙂 Isaac and I started off as friends in July of 2017 and we decided to start dating on January 1st of 2018 and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! Everyday I learn new things about him & I still get butterflies every time I see him. He makes me so happy and sometimes mad but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. Isaac truly is my best friend, the best photographer, plus so much more and I love him so much ♥♥

Festival Of Lights Recap

Last night, Isaac and I went to the Festival of Lights in Riverside at the Mission Inn and it was oh so pretty and festive with all of the Christmas lights on display 🙂 If you’re a local you should definitely check it out before it comes to an end on January 6th, 2019.

When we first got there, we went into the cutest book store which had thousands of books all over. I browsed around and found a cool book about Christmas in America and it was so interesting to see how people celebrate differently in the same country. But then Isaac showed me their basement and omg it was so creepy that I wanted out of there ASAP!

I’ve been going since I was a little kid and every year it can get a bit repetitive but going with people you love makes it extra special! Getting to go with Isaac this year was the best and I will cherish the memories we made together; forever

Have a great Monday!

What I’m Thankful For

Wow where to begin, I can’t believe it’s already Thanksgiving Eve! This year has gone by so fast and so much has happened especially within this last month, which has made me realize that life is such a blessing and sadly it can end shortly. If you know me personally then I’m sure you already know that I lost my brother; Jacob on October 27th. This came as such a surprise and something I never thought would happen. During my brothers viewing the deacon said that a death of a young person is more difficult to deal with than that of an old person because we’re so used to old people dying that we don’t expect to lose someone so young. We know that one day their time will come to an end and we begin to accept it early on. However, Jacobs death came suddenly and way too soon. In September we celebrated his 23rd birthday with a bbq and had all of our family here at our home to celebrate his amazing life. Jacob was always such a sweet and thoughtful person. He had a contagious smile and a fun personality that I’ll miss forever. This loss hurts and it always will because a piece of our family is missing. But as a family we are taking everything one day at a time and starting to go on again with our lives. As the holidays approach I get saddened in the thought of it never being the same as years past. But with the amazing memories we have, it will last us for the rest of our lifetimes.

Two women I’m so thankful for are my sisters, they’ve been the best older sisters I could have ever been blessed with. We may not always get along but at the end of the day we love each other and our bonds are unbreakable.

My parents are the people I’m most thankful for. Each and everyday I appreciate just how blessed I am to have them as my parents. They do so much for their kids for which I’m eternally grateful and at the end of the day I want to make them so proud.

I’ve been so blessed within the past 19 years of my life to have such an amazing family and within the past year I’ve met the best person that has changed my life in more ways than one and that’s my boyfriend, Isaac. He makes me a better person each and everyday, he encourages me, he’s the absolute sweetest, and he has the best heart. Everyday I’m so blessed and thankful to have not only him but his amazing family in my life.

I’m also so grateful to each and everyone of you who take the time to read my posts. It means so much to me and I’m so happy I get to document my life on this platform.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, laughter, and good food! Please be safe and appreciate every little moment

Welcome To F&F

It’s been a loooong two years in the making to finally make me decide to wanna come back to blogging and I’m so excited to be back. I started Fringe and Flare in May of 2015 and I had such an amazing time blogging and making friends on social media as well as making connections with my readers. However, I ended my blog in October of 2016 to give my full time and attention to my senior year of high school. I had such a blast and I enjoyed it to the fullest and as soon as I graduated I began college in the summer. To say I had a wonderful first year of college is a lie and anyone who says that they enjoyed it, is a liar because that year hit me like a bus (Regina George style lol). But currently I’m in my sophomore year of college and so far it’s going way better than last year which I’m super thankful for.

Now that I’ve found down time in my work, school, and personal life I decided along with the help of my sweet boyfriend; Isaac to restart up my blog 🙂 This time around I want to incorporate more than just fashion on my blog because I’ve changed so much as a person within the last two years. So on my blog you will see fashion, beauty, DIYs cooking/baking, lifestyle posts and so much more! I’m so excited to be doing this again and whether you’re an OG reader of my blog or someone new, WELCOME 🙂

My posting schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You can sign up for email updates by scrolling down on my sidebar and follow me along on Instagram @fringeandflare
